The science program provides a balance of hands-on activities and engaging content resources. Textbook readings gradually introduce the students to the knowledge, methods, skills, and attitudes of scientists. Students develop scientific literacy by participating in activities and being exposed to resources that challenge them to use processing skills, critical thinking skills, and scientific reasoning skills. Project and lab-based activities introduce students to the content areas of the curriculum, including life processes of plants and animals, populations and ecosystems, geology, environmental science, and the solar system.
